Waffenfabrik Walther, Zella-Mehlis; G.43 ac 44 WaA 359 k block. Made in mid 1944.
Many G & K 43's were used in the Post WW II years by East Germany and Czechoslavakia. Presumably these were accurate as they were arsenal refinished and still retain the scope rails.
The bolt group is matching, but does not match the rest of the gun, thus emphasizing the importance of matched assemblies. Approx. 170.000 ac44 made in WW II.
Sporting a Durofol handguard, most of this weapon was either replaced or re-finished.
Unique for being reworked by the VoPo.
(Volks Politzei, literally, the People's Police).
